Crock Pot OR Crock (?)

I've never cooked for myself using a crock pot before, but I figure it can't be that hard. Clean out the cupboard and fridge into a pot, add heat and time and you get dinner, right?

OK, here's what I tossed in there:
  • Frozen vegetables:
    Spinach
    Corn
    Peas
    Carrots
    Cauliflower
    Broccoli
    Lima Beans (non-poisonous)
  • A couple of potatoes
  • A couple of Four Veggie Burger patties (frozen)
  • Can of kidney beans
  • Probably too many onions
  • Spices of all kinds, in large quantities
My kitchen is always full of spices that I rarely use, mostly because I like things plain. Dry toast, plain baked potatoes (nothing on them but skin), etc. so this is a good opportunity to go wild.

Go wild? Is he that bored/boring? What is he doing posting so many times on his blog...on a Saturday? Does it have anything to do with the fact that Christina is in Rwanda right now and kind of out of contact (or at least Duane doesn't want to disturb her gorilla tracking)?

MacBook Air Sticker Shock

Granted, the way I arrived at this price tag was going to Apple's website and configuring a MacBook Air with all the bells and whistles, but still. The thing doesn't even have an optical disc drive! The real question you always have to ask yourself with these purchases is: does it play DOOM?

Was blind, but now I see.

A little mechanism broke in my bedroom blinds fairly recently. My landlords are pretty chill (not to be confused with landlords past) and got blinds specialists out here within days of notification.

These guys were in and out inside of 15 minutes, including taking blinds down, replacing the broken mechanisms, and reinstalling the blinds better than new. I was impressed. At the risk of looking like some kind of advertisement portal, there's their card up there on the right. I'm probably an overly happy customer because my landlord pays for all that stuff (yay renting!).
