As Randy and I flubbed a few shots during our Sunday round of golf today, we started rationalizing why certain shots went astray. I smoked a cigar - that's why. I ate food the other day - that's why. I saw a Geico commercial a few weeks ago - that's why. Making fun of rationalizations is great, but for some reason we got even more exact with our cognitive dissonance hypotheses. For instance, did you know that every time someone has an abortion a golfer flubs a shot? That's why the GOP is so bent on anti-abortion law! It all makes sense now!That picture on the right isn't Randy and me; it's Tom DeLay and Jack Abramoff.
