carbon footprintz: i haz dem

I've made many a'trip to DC before, but in early December I might have made my shortest one yet: one night to go to a party with my favorite person. How could I resist? The party was at the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum. Yeah. The venue was the entire museum full of planes and rockets and missiles and satellites. Yeah.

The venue was large and open enough to have compartmentalized, themed sections, with many open bars, food stops, live music, a discothèque, and Rock Band karaoke.

Am I going to liberal hell? I mean, I fly all the time, racking up miles galore. That's a lot of jet fuel being converted to hot gaseous by-products, injected directly into the atmosphere. It's not the kind of air pollution that makes people cough, but it is the kind of air pollution that inspires bad movies as well as decent ones.
